In Honor of President’s Week
Thompson Releases Theodore Roosevelt Fine Art
In honor of President’s Week, Elaine Faith Thompson has released her Theodore Roosevelt fine art prints. Her latest realistic painting, is Roosevelt as a “Rough Rider” on his horse in front of his Oyster Bay home, Sagamore Hill. The painting is the first of her latest collection, “Elaine Faith in America” Collection. Thompson was inspired by her love of history and the fact that she is related to another President, Ulysses S. Grant. In October of 2009 she had a joint exhibit with Elizabeth Roosevelt. For information on the prints, in various sizes, and note cards call 631 589-0069 or www.thompsonart.us
During the entire month of March, Elaine Faith Thompson will be exhibiting her art at Westfield Mall, located on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa during Mall hours. The exhibit will be on the second floor just outside of Macy’s in the Mall. The exhibit is part of the Rotational Art Exhibit Program sponsored by the Town of Oyster Bay, Department of Community and Youth Services. The public is invited. You can meet the artist there on Saturday, March 6 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. There is no charge for the event. Thompson’s exhibit will be showing her golf art and also Long Island paintings. She will be displaying a surprise for Jets fans.
50 years ago, at the age of 16, Thompson produced her first published work of art for the “Cenacle House of Retreats for Women” in Ronkonkoma. On March 26 she is being honored as “Most Outstanding Alumna of the Year” by SUNY Farmingdale. On April 12 Thompson will be the keynote speaker at the Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition Expo.
